Lippie Love: Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Nude Rose

This is my second foray into the “liquid lips” category, the first being Too Faced’s Melted line (if that even falls into that category). So far, I’m liking it. Not the fastest way but I like the end result.

Let me explain myself. Application wise, they apply like a gloss. They do not feel tacky or sticky to me but they do slide while it is wet. It needs to set for it to last longer so I discovered the best way is to apply an even thin layer, let it dry and apply a second thin coat for good measure. This gives me a good 4-5 hours with straw sipping.

The formula is neither hydrating or drying. Best to exfoliate and moisturize pre-application. It is opaque in one layer. The applicator is perfect. It grabs the right amount of product to apply that first layer.

Reds may not be my preferred lip color of choice but I am glad I have these little tubes of fun to turn to on those occasions that I need a little perk me up.

I got mine at Nordstroms for $48. It appears to be sold out at the Laura Mercier and Nordstrom website but I’ve seen them at select Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus counters so I suggest you check around.
