I came across these jumbo pencil balms a while back when I saw this display supporting breast cancer. So I thought, why not?

They come in a jumbo twist-up packaging. The product is twisted up which eliminates the need for a sharpener. Major pet peeve…having to sharpen soft/balm-y lip products. It’s messy and product is wasted in an effort to sharpen the tip. Another thing that I appreciate from this product is that there is a click when you close the cap. Now this may seem trivial but it actually makes the closure secure. Eliminates the chances of finding your lip product all over your stuff.

Definitely appreciate the subtle shine these give off. However, despite the fact that it is “fortified with shea and mango butter”, it seems like my lips seems a tad drier after the balm has disappeared. It also feels “thin” considering it’s supposed to be a balm. *sigh* Have to go on searching for that perfect drugstore balm.

They are not limited edition so if you feel like giving them a try, especially if there’s a sale (for that you have to head over to Nouveau Cheap for awesome info on weekly drugstore deals).
